Barbershop

I went here on Saturday night for a girl’s night out, and to take advantage of their happy hour, which runs from 6pm-8pm. The Barbershop is located in lively Oberkampf and has a New York feel about it. It’s very big inside with comfy sofas and leather chairs and a bar that connects the front and the back. The cocktails were delicious, I went for my usual Cosmo and a Strawberry Martini, they’ve got a good selection of their own cocktails plus the all the classics for 5 Euros during happy hour. One thing I’d say is they don’t let you double up when you order and were reluctant to serve us another drink at happy hour price with 5 minutes to go which was a little mean, so make sure you drink up fast to take full advantage of the happy hour! Local Parisian artist’s work adorns the walls, which are for sale at good prices and changed regularly. This place is great for the winter, and they’ve also got a good heated terrace. The atmosphere was great, the place filled up quickly and huge tables of friends were eating the popular cheeseburgers till late. On weekends, DJs play a selection of hip-hop, funk and soul. The staff wasn’t the friendliest, but that doesn’t take away this place’s charm. Definitely worth a visit over the winter months.
