Here are some photos we took in Place des Vosges, Paris. Situated in the Marais district, Place des Vosges is the oldest planned square in the whole City and is certainly one of the prettiest.
There is an eery and enchanting aura surrounding the square and it is definitely worth a visit if you want to really discover ‘old Paris’.
The construction was finished by 1612 and many famous Frenchmen lived in the Square throughout history including Victor Hugo. The identical houses which were reserved for french aristocrats are still clearly visible with arched passage ways allowing you to walk the whole way around. These arcades are full of cute brassieres and cafes. the beautiful and peaceful park is centered in the square and is beautiful place to sit and enjoy the best of Parisian history.
